City hit seven – and Erling Haaland scored five of them – to ensure a 7-0 win over RB Leipzig on an unforgettable night of Champions League football.
The victory, on an electric Etihad Stadium evening, helped us quality for the quarter-finals of the illustrious competition for a sixth consecutive season.

Haaland silenced the crowd not only with a Hat-trick but almost a double! 🤯
Only 22 years of age, Haaland made records with this match and he's bound to make more in the future. Amazing lad right here 🔥💯

We love Haaland but Kevin is still the soul of Manchester city, his 1 goal is enough to remind us he's the important one, remmeber we lost champion League because he either got injured or sub off at 75th minute which cost us the chance to be the champion. Yes Haaland is the missing puzzle for the attack front but without Haaland we still got to Champion league final back then, if Kdb didn't got injured that final then the result will be different

United Fan here but ManCity deserves to get UCL for so long every season. Very unlucky each season. I really hope they get it this time and make EPL proud.

Whenever you hear someone saying "Haaland only scores tap-ins" you can instantly conclude that person is absolutely blind when it comes to watching football.

2nd goal - we don't see it in these highlights, but it's a masterpiece: in the span of TWELVE SECONDS Haaland was pressing Leipzig's RCB, then GK (possibly fouled him, but the ref didn't call it), then got out of the offside trap to tap the header back down to DeBruyne, then avoided the offside trap again and from the moment he's in line with Leipzig defenders (0:31) next thing you know they are nowhere and he's collecting a rebound at 2.2m of height, heading it into goal. An absolute masterpiece of a goal, and whoever says "it's just a tap in" should be literally shot.

3rd goal - look at 3 Leipzig defenders around Haaland at 0:39 - they haven't a faintest idea there's danger, because the ball is on the other post. Haaland knows, though, of course, and he's ready to pounce. He gets a reward for this deadly instinct. Yes, he scored by blocking the clearance, but you have to understand that 0.0001% of footballers would even think to be in that place at that time. Look at those same 3 Leipzig defenders at 0:42 still standing in the same place and raising their hands in disbelief.Their awareness for the game is comical in comparison to Haaland's.

4th goal - finally an easy tap in that anyone can score? Yes, except for the fact that there wouldn't be that tap in if it wasn't for Haaland's big jump before where he towered above 2 Leipzig defenders who had no chance in that duel.

5th goal - finally an easy tap in that anyone can score? Ok, I can agree for this one, though his reaction time is blistering and his shot technique and accuracy are as well. Still, it's something you'd expect out of asomeone who's playing football their whole lives.

Even looking at 1st goal - a penalty - let's not disregard the fact that City had an abnormally awful penalty conversion rate last couple of years, not this season of course.

This match requires one to sit back and ponder everything it look to get to this place.

Pep was brought in to do what no other manager in our history could do (or even imagine)… Pep carved out a Sky Blue dynasty/era.

Pep arrived to an aging yet talented starting 11 that needed tweaking, and tweak he did. He whittled away what held us back from moving forward, and he introduced a system that will likely remain The City Way of playing football. He had to apply finesse as he did not want to chip away players he needed to stay. Remember, some of the early chips were beloved club players.

Seeing Agüero, Kompany and Silva remain and dominate as Pep slowly added new pieces to his craftwork drew in players who recognized something special was in the works.

Behold KDB! No one but DeBruyne and Pep could imagine the epic midfielder that lay just beneath the surface. But that ball and brain bending beastmode pitch terrorizer did, in fact, emerge… and he drew in more players still.

Our academy is world class (Foden, Palmer and many more) in the most literal sense. Consider the players it’s added to our deep pool of talent while Pep, and the most Will imposing 11+ in Europe if not the world, attracted more internationals to the Blue Moon Bombers!… Akanji, Aké, Dias, Ederson, Laporte, Mahrez, Rodri, etc.

Enter Grealish and Haaland, while Álvarez triumphantly returns to the fold, and we’re making statements like this in full view of the football loving world.

WELCOME to those new to the Cityzen family. Please be mindful this glorious house of silverware, once referred to as Man Sh*tty, isn’t built for fair weather and/or feint of heart supporters. It takes/took true grit to carve out our place in and paint The Northwest Blue amidst tremendous adversity.

THANK YOU, to Pep’s Staff and The Boys, for the life-changing weeks, months and years of history writing matches. You made/make the past decades of loving this club worth every head shaking second.

Now… Let’s drive that last nail into the “Never in my lifetime” coffin. If you know, you know.

Live Forever, Citeh ‘til I die.

✌🏽💙⚽️
