Xiaomi Bluetooth Home Assistant Integration is now possible Natively! As you may know there is one #Xiaomi #Bluetooth temperature & humidity sensor that becomes very popular lately, because it is cheap, it is good looking and its battery last forever. On top you can add this Xiaomi T&H sensor to your #HomeAssistant relatively easy. Great thanks for this, i had problems with the Bindkey not accepting. The fix was to open Tellink flasher, Do Activation, copy the key and then disconnect from the sensor in Tellink, the restart HA. Then after around 10 or so minutes I would get a new device and then the Bindkey would work. Its like HA holds onto the old Bindkey of the sensor and if you don't disconnect and restart, it keeps looking for the old key. Thanks this video was great

Thank you for this very useful video. The way I found to make integration panel appear relatively fast is to close the Telink Flasher website and confirm that the bluetooth symbol has disappeared from the sensor screen. Apparently, while the sensor is connected to the website, it does not connect with HA.

I read through all these comments and thought likely I would suffer the wrong bindkey issue that seems to have affected so many people. Happily it did not happen and it all went through first time. I wanted to note for future reference that at no stage did I use the MiHome app and it does not seem to be required.

Thanks for the guide. I've managed to set up the Xiaomi devices and have integrated it into HA. However, when I look at history, the temperature fluctuates a lot - showing thick bands on the charts. This makes it quite hard to compare two devices as their graphs are often stacked on top of each other. Is there a way to fix this? In comparison, my Broadlink device measuring temperature shows a thin line.

Hmmmm...my first Xiaomi worked like a charm. The other two connected and flashed, but all they're showing is signal strength.

great video. Can it be one doesnt need the Xiaomi home app? I have 3 sensors. 1st conencted to app and the used the web link for the key. Worked. The 2nd and 3rd sensor I didnt connect to the app but went straight to the web link. It retrieved the key as well. The app was still installed but it looks like the app is not needed. The web page for retrieving the encryption key is enough.

Great video Kiril, I have 3 Xiaomisensors (but with custom firmware) and I am monitoring via HASSIo on RPI3+ the temp in my garrage, GF and 1st floor. But the range is probaby > 10 m because most of the times only one sensor is visible and 2 are lost. even for the active one the temp reading is old. I am really looking forward to stop BLE integration and try again with the BT integration.Keep up!!

hi, followed your tutorial and added the sensor to HA, everything seemed to be working except the temperature would not update in HA for several hours sometimes although the external temperature was changing.
so I flashed the device using custom ATC firmware, now eveything is working as expected,
as a bonus you don't have to wait for 1 hour to reconfigure the device (the problem you mentioned)

Can these sensors be calibrated? i.e. is there an adjustment factor that can be applied if they are reading slightly too high or too low?

I am never able to get past the reconfiguration in HA, it aways tell me the bind key is wrong "The provided bindkey did not work, sensor data could not be decrypted. Please check it and try again.", i have tried many times with 2 different XIAOMI thermometers and always the same error any suggestions ?

Thanks, this was informative. I am running home assistant on a server (esxi installef) using sonoff ZigBee dongle, this server doesnt have Bluetooth, I think the sonoff dongle support ble, so I assume I can use the passive ble extension that you mentioned.. does anyone know if the dongle can connect to the mi sensor? Also how are people using this? Ie my use case atm I want to control a split system in my room, I think I will need a infra red device that will emit the correct single to turn the split on and maybe another signal to set it to cool. Any guidance much appreciated.

I tried the whole process, but Telink Flash gives me a different bind key each time I click on "Do Activation", and my device xiaomi BLE configuration tells me "the bindkey did not work". Any idea?
