Its possible legends Kessel was once a normal looking planet with sith temples but then something happened that made it look the way it does now

Just a little tidbit, but assuming the size of Legends' Kessel are accurate, its own gravity should've crushed it into a spherical shape. The fact that it's an oblong shape means that something is interfering with gravity.
