On episode LXII of "In the Know," (December 6, 2024) ARK CEO/CIO, Cathie Wood is joined by Sam Korus, ARK's Director of Research, Autonomous Technology & Robotics to discuss easing government regulations both in the context of the space industry and the larger macroeconomy.

This month we’re again responding to a few requests by supplementing this episode with charts and data to help illustrate ARK’s perspective on and outlook for the global economy.

Serious question. Why does Ark and ArkX charge 3x more the maintenance fee if the ETF is trash? Like seriously. You can go with QQQ and actually make money. Mind boggling to go with these terrible ETFs.

Thank you for the good information on macro analysis again. There are early signs of biotech stocks breaking out, hope this turns out to be the next Tesla or Bitcoin.

Innovation is the rocket fuel, efficient regulation is the oxidiser. Unthinking deregulation gets you Boeing! And the politicisation of regulation is the very worst because it favours stodgy incumbents who can afford to buy the most politicians.

Another word for regulation is protection. Unbridled capitalism will use any free resource to 100% regardless of consequence.

You’ll be in your space ship. You’ll go somewhere faraway probably not out of the galaxy but perhaps far away … you’ll realize none of it was worth it and you’re back at square one. This is the minor annoyance called life which you are part of no matter how great your denial.

The regulation will disappear for Elon only, but will be strictly for another, which will lead to unfair competition and block the innovation so the startups will move some where else instead

I would like to hear other human ideas on how to avoid the cannot buy nor sell without a chip/mark? There are old prophecies that foretells of a time when this chip will be a necessity or one cannot buy nor sell.

Blockchain has been here nearly 20 years now. What has it contributed aside from Bitcoin as a new asset class and capitalists adding it to portfolios to be named as ARK "innovation platform"?

I found the graphs you presented at the beginning of the lecture to be of limited help. Graphs plotted against time are fine because time is an intuitive variable. However, graphs with one abstract variable plotted against another are more challenging to interpret, especially when they pertain to only a small portion of the overall lecture

Cathie Wood, did you know that the word palantir is an invention of J.R.R. Tolkien's? There were seven "seeing stones, " the palantiri. The one at Osgiliath on the Great River of Gondor, could communicate with the other six; the other six were like 1960s phone-to-phone communication lines. Palantir meant "to see from afar" in the language of Numenor. But each stone could also look into the past and show the user possible futures, too.

Futurist said you’d be able to work from anywhere in the world. The most innovative man in the world wants people to show up to an office.😂
