Introducing - Ember S2.5K

Today we welcome Ember S2.5K to the family!

This completes the vision we had 3 years ago to deliver the world's smallest, easiest, most fun, high-speed imaging system.

This new camera can shoot up to 2900fps at 2K resolution with options for even higher frame rates at a reduced image height. Our 2.5K sensor has 9uM pixels so it retains the same crop factor as Ember S5K.

In addition to S2.5K we are releasing new features for all Embers.

We are launching an update for the Ember app that brings complete control, preview, trimming, and stabilization to iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS.

We are also announcing an active EF mount that can control aperture and focus of select EF lenses.

S2.5K will ship with a new high-endurance pSLC SSD that enables variable pre / post trigger arrangements and can record continuously for up to 10,000 hours.

Why is this company and awesome camera not known well in the filmmaking world? Just hearing of them? Even if they target a niche market that's not a reason to be so OBSCURED. Is it that there's no version targeting the general market? Or they are over priced? Even that is not a reason. Arris are expensive, Red are expensive, Some Blackmagic cams are expensive also? SO what's the issue here? I'm interested. This is too good to be under the bed.

Put a log curve in the camera rather than these display-referred color profiles (rec709, HLGish) and colorists and VFX will love you! There's literally no reason not to and I'll happily design the log curve for you if you need a hand.
