Scaling up hydrogen production – the H2Giga project

Electrolysis technologies like pressurized alkaline and high-temperature SOEC have reached a level of maturity which allows manufacturers like Sunfire to quickly ramp up their production and focus on industrialization and serial manufacturing. This is where the H2 Giga scale-up projects play a crucial role. The challenges the projects help to solve range from the materials used for upscaling to technologies for manufacturing. Industry and research are working together on these issues to realise automated production of electrolysers on a gigawatt scale.
