I loved this ride much when I was a kid, always went on it whenever we visited. Just went there today and was devastated to see my beloved ghost train was missing! 💔

First rode this Ghost train circa 1974/75. Used to love the way it went up and came outside on two balconies that didn't have a safety fence back then. 51 now and I'd still give it a go. I wonder if the flying boats inside the pier amusements hall that took off and landed back on water are still there?

I have fond memories of riding the Ghost Train at Walton Pier in the 80's. I used to ride it, get straight back in line to ride it again. I was disappointed to find it had been updated, well, I guess it was over due but the original train had a less kiddie design and was all out horror with vampires and skeletons and couple of weird dancing aliens at the end.

This exact ghost train is being rebuilt in Barry island pleasure park as we speak!

Looks nothing like it at the moment but it got taken from the pier with practically no instructions on how to build it as it was never designed to be moved around

It's going really well at the moment. Hopefully it should be open sometime this or next year!

Yes I remember this ghost train, I was about 8 years old when I went on it around 1976, I remember the high parts where you came out and swung around back inside went Walton for years great memories.

Yeah, I agree with you. A friend of my daughter said to her, "Your Dad won't like it, it's totally dark inside and you can't see anything". Well, I put it off for a long time, but as we were in the area I decided to visit the Pier and have a ride. When I got there my daughter said "it's all been done up". I must say I wasn't expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised to actually be able to see anything at all and I quite liked the first skeleton and the Band ! :-)

They totally ruined the pier, all the rides except the waltzers and the dodgems are gone

I had an accident on the ghost train in 1991. Made a boring ride a whole lot scarier! Surprised it was allowed to stay open afterwards.

Awesome!. I don’t think it was a Gold Train themed dark ride when I rode on it in the 90’s, I think it was a haunted house.

Feeling sad to see this deserted situation! My family been live there for ten years around 1997 it was pack of visitors at school break through those years I still remember my daughters alway get donuts and ice cream from the beach kiosk every one loves the kiosk’s owner Colin and Nigel. Hope everything back to normal soon! Will visit sometime soon! Stay safe!

Not too bad, the interior art work scenery is good, 1:04 it took me a while to figure out whether that flashy door was just scenery on the wall or real and it seems better quality than most small ghost trains, although it wasn't that scary and characters don't seem memorable, what do you reckon psyclonesteve?
