There are very little resources for teenagers with mental illness. At least that’s how it is where I live. I’ve tried to access help from both police and social services. Everytime I get the same answer: there’s nothing we can do unless your teen is voluntarily placing themselves or if they become a danger to themselves or other people. I am left feeling as though I have to wait for something awful to happen and I pray it won’t be too late. Motherhood is the loneliest damn job.
