Facial Recognition Nerf Gun with Robotic-Controlled Autonomous Aiming Take 2 by Kairo 2018

A pan and tilt turret with a NERF gun attached that utilizes facial recognition to aim and shoot.

This was one of the culmination projects for the Computer Programming & Robotics (CP&R) class at George School 2018. CP&R is an introductory course, with only about 5% of the students having any prior programming and/or robotics experience. This project was on display during the Robotics Open House at George School on May 21, 2018.

(The sound is not good in this video because I had my Bluetooth headphones connected to my phone, and that microphone did not pick up Kairo's voice very well, especially from a distance.)

I love how careful he is when only having a nerf gun attached. Meanwhile ididathing set it to shoot any face it detects and attaches a real gun. This kid deserves our trust. I hope he goes far.
