CC Available: Support is essential with tackling invisible illnesses, so today I'm musing on what that means, a "how-to" if you will, the to-do's and not to-do's of being an ally, from my perspective. I could have just said, treat people how you wanted to be treated and you'll be right, but eh.
Stay tuned and I'll let you in more on my own invisible illnesses as we get to know each other friendlings.

Excellent video on so many levels. On a side note, it greatly pleases me to see someone who also breaks out into random song and dance <3

I have a rare illness that causes me to require proof before I believe things. It's called 'skepticism'. Among the symptoms are that when ever anyone mentions 'privilege', I want them to prove it. I also have a deep attachment to listing official assertions and proving them. I'm also quite wary of things that sound like religion. I also get quite leery of people who tell me to "do my own research" b/c it sounds to me like they're refusing to prove their own points and, to my mind, disabled as it is by my skepticism condition, this sounds like they know they're wrong and are just lying. Also quite leery of people who seem to have an agenda based take on sociology or psychology which are already weak sciences.
