Unfreaking believable. The cops can literally come into your home without any crime or charges and take control and there is nothing you can do to stop them. This is why people should never answer their door to the cops. Its never anything good.

You can ask but as we seen many times the cop just starts arguing with you and waits that you try to push him out and then arrests you. Dont ever invite cops to your house unless it's emergency.

Treat them like a dangerous animal, just looking for an excuse (because they are both). Start recording, tell them to leave, say you do not consent to them searching your property, and then shut up and stay out of the way. You are in the legal right, but police have a habit of making you "dead" right.

It's a lot more simple than he says, if a LEO comes to your home's door and you don't know why or if there may be some reason he/she might get physical against you then just lock and don't open the door.

If he's a trespasser, he's no longer acting as an officer. You don't lose your right to defend your property integrity just because he wears a badge a few hours a day. A criminal is a criminal, and officers shouldn't get special treatment.

GOOD LUCK getitng a cop to leave after they are inside the house - even if it is ONE TOE across the threshold.
Cops WILL NOT leave on request or demand of the property owner because they know they WILL NOT be prosecuted for trespassing. Trespassing is one of 3-4 CRIMES that most cops commit regularly because they know that other cops and prosecutors will not charge them for their crimes.

I'm a libertarian (someone will no doubt insist I'm not really because i disagree with them) and i mention this because before i became a cop, and occasionally even now, i struggle with what i perceived as respecting the rights of citizens vs actually stopping criminals who were violating the law. In my experience, the ones who demand we leave or don't let us in to make sure everyone is okay are the ones beating their wives and girlfriends 90%< of the time. The ones who let us in and let us see it was their asshole neighbor using 911 to harass their neighbor, and we can do something about that. The ones who talk to us deal with us for 5 minutes and it's over. The ones who become uncooperative deal with us for much longer. Just saying.
