The new 2024 Mercedes Benz E Class interior is described as sporty, high-quality, and digital. It combines digital and analogue luxury, and the newly designed icons on the screens are more intuitive for drivers. The instrument panel shapes the digital experience, and the MBUX Superscreen extends to the central display if the car is equipped with the optional front passenger screen. The Active Ambient Lighting illuminates the front section of the instrument panel. The seat surfaces and backrest have a layer design that follows the organic beauty of shells, and the range of interior colours and trims convey a technoid character. The main icons on the displays are now simpler and colour-coded to match smartphone tiles, and the graphics of the screens can be individualised. Beautiful car but would not want that 5 or 6 years from now without the warranty. All that is failures waiting to happen. I have 2017 e class and I can say the extended warranty was definitely needed.

Mercedes still hasn't understood what I expect as a potential buyer. Here, they continue to satisfy the wet dreams of some teenagers who will neither buy nor need to drive such a car.

I can no longer place my money with Mercedes at the moment. Too bad - that one apparently wants to go the way of Citroen in the 90s. The main thing is to look strange - the use seems to have played no role in the development.

MB still don't have a display screen replacement strategy to offer customers. As with any screen it will lose some light strength (nits) by time and pixel death will occur eventually. Just like any TV or computer screen. I hope MB will address this soon. Especially since they don't offer analogue solutions anymore they need to inform people of warranty offerings and expected display life length. The life expectancy differs between panel types.
