Glasses-Free 3D OLED Laptop! | Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 (2023)

Is this one of the best creator laptops for 2023? It's certainly super-powered, boasting 13th gen Intel smarts, up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU. The Spatial Vision 3D visuals are undeniably impressive, working well for creative tasks that require that extra dimension. Plus the Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 laptop will support gaming and can retroactively add the three-dimensional effect to compatible movies.

Asus has included a stylus-supported touchpad and that excellent dial control, ideal for creators. You've got a wide selection of ports including a pair of Thunderbolt connections. And Asus' own laptop cooling tech, to keep things running smoothly. But the ProArt Studiobook 16 2023 highlight is definitely that glasses-free 3D OLED display, which looks stunning even when viewing 2D content.

Always thought nailing glasses-less 3D would be when the technology actually begins to become something a bit more than a flash in the pan gimmick, as no one really wants to spend extended periods wearing the glasses. Exciting to see we're getting closer.

Can't wait until the tech makes it way to laptops that don't cost a fortune... Thanks for the review.

I remember when the 3DS came out with glasses free 3D and I was wondering when the tech would become more wide spread. Surprised it took over 10 years before someone tried implementing it on a more wide scale platform (vs the $8k Samsung TV that no one bought).

I would like to know how existing 3D movies can be "retroactively fitted" to this "Spatial Vision" system, as was mentioned in the video. Bottom line, will there be a way to play Blu-ray 3D movies and watch them glasses-free on this laptop? I suppose that would be too much to hope for, but if software was made available to convert Blu-ray 3D to Spatial Vision that would be very cool. Actually looking at their website, it does seem to say that existing 3D movies can be played. Perhaps a 3D file would need to be created from a Blu-ray 3D disc first? I really don't know how this would work, but I am curious. I would really like to be able to just plug a Blu-ray player in and use the 3D display, if that's possible!

There is already 3d glass on top of the laptop screen, so no need to wear 3d glasses!!!. The future is very promising for realistic reality!!!👍👍👍👍👍.

*I thought the dial was the 3DS circle pad* 🗿

you must be losing a huge chunk of resolution for the 3d effect, it would have to give you two different streams of quarter resolution to do this, not sure why that info isnt shown anywhere
