The Medical Assistant program at MITT in Winnipeg gets you working in health care!
Students get the knowledge and skills necessary to provide administrative support to medical professionals in hospitals, physicians and specialists’ offices, as well as any health authority in the province.
Work with industry veteran instructors in a small class setting, to develop competence and confidence in medical documentation and terminology, clinical office procedures, billing, scheduling, business skills, computer applications, and medical software so that you can efficiently manage the demands of the front desk in any medical facility. A six-week work practicum placement will give you an opportunity to practice and refine your skills in real-world situations.
