Gretchen goes to Nebraska is an absolutely amazing album and my introduction to the band. After listening to it over and over they easily became one of my favorite bands

This is one of the greatest albums of all time. It's at the top of my stuck-on-a-deserted-island list.

I've literally seen hundreds of bands live, and King's X is among the very best of them. I've probably seen them live the most (could be a tie with Rush). I never miss a King's X show when they're in town unless there is a funeral or someone is actively on fire and needs my help. Seriously, such a great band, such great dudes...if you're not already part of the fan base, do yourself a favor and get on board.

I discovered - thanks to a friend - King's X when their second album (Gretchen) was the current one. I've been a fanatic ever since. I've seen them live at least 15-18 times. And later - through another friend - have been very fortunate to become quite friendly with the gentlemen in the band, hanging out with them before and after shows, at the NAMM show, and even at a private party or two. All three guys are stellar players and singers, as well as excellent people. Even 30 years in, they stay after every show and do a meet and greet with any fan willing to stay, through to the end of the (sometimes quite long) line. They're all smiles, hanging out the whole time, they generously give each fan their time and attention, and they don't blow anyone off. They are, truly, the "good guys" - and, oh... by the way, they make f***ing incredible music.

One of my favorite bands since 1989. Just amazing musicians and people. All of their albums are great in their own way, but the first 4 albums (especially Gretchen) are just all-time classics. Thanks for doing a video on their stuff!

Got into KX in 1989. Freakin' tremendously great band. They have been flying under the radar for decades. Dug Pinnick is my all time favorite vocalist and bassist. I had a chance to meet them at a local club when they were on tour back in 1994. Dug even showed me how he ran his bass rig and signed some cd's for me. Great guys and fellow Texans!

Dive down the rabbit hole. Most criminally underrated rock band of the past 30 years. The First Church of Rock & Roll.

Dude! We actually hung out with them when they opened for the Scorpions in Phx! They are awesome! We were literally standing next to the stage with them when the scorpions started their show! I will never forget it. Then when they came back thru phx as a headliner for Dogman…they recognized us and we got to watch their sound check! Hung out with Jerry Gaskell talking about books we were reading😆 it was awesome. One of THE greatest bands

Kings X is my g.o.a.t.!
Still the best and unlike any Rock you'll ever
I still think new Kings X fans should start out with Gretchen Goes....or their first one.
"DogMan" IMHO does not define their sound and is probably their "hardest" track.
A more subtle into with a great band like KX is warranted I think....dont want to scare anyone away!!!😂

I am a huge fan of this band.About 20 years ago, a local radio station was selling tickets for a King'sX show at The Gardens, a Colorado Springs night club.
10$ a pop.I bought 20 of them and gave them out to friends and family.I went to the show with my older brother, which meant dinner before. We got to the club and the doors were locked.Peering through the front window, I could see my younger brother playing pinball with King'sX. My head wanted to explode.Ty Tabor is a personal guitar hero.
..and my little brother was playing pinball with him and drinking beer and chatting away.🤢🤮 Made me sick.I bought the tickets right?
Long story shorter...Best show ever!
Then my older brother backed his car into their bus as we were leaving. Not a great night, but it was memorable.
Check out a live video of Goldilox . King'sX fans at our best.

Dogman is at the top of the heap, when it comes to albums with perfect metal riffs. I still get chills listening to this, with Tape Head taking a close second. Songs like Pillow, Black the Sky and Shoes can grow hair on a bowling ball and cure erectile dysfunction. Simply amazing...

For a truly wild ride, definitely listen to Gretchen Goes to Nebraska -the whole thing, with good headphones on and your eyes closed. You'll hear every band that's come before and after somewhere in there. It's a remarkable accomplishment, both the songwriting and production. It's our generation's Sgt. Pepper's. They've been name checked as a major influence by Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, STP, Galactic Cowboys, Atomic Opera, and tons of others. Andy Summers (The Police) and even McCartney have lauded them as being the "best band around" in recent years.

Most IMPORTANT albums:
1) Gretchen Goes to Nebraska
2) Dogman
3) Faith Hope Love
4) Self-Titled
5) Probably the new double-album coming out in 2021 - first album in almost 13 years and probably their last.

P.S. "Give me a nail, or give me bat, give me a skinny, or give me a fat."

Metal, soul, funk, blues, everything you could ask for in a band. I don’t know how these guys haven’t sold 100 million albums.
