Synopsis:
After three years of mini adventures on the rails, The Railways of Crotoonia are going from short series to full series! Starring in their first half-hour mini-movie special, it's "Tillie to the Rescue"!
Join Tillie the Little Engine, a young steamer who dreams of doing more than shunting, as she helps save the day when runaway trains and an overheated feud threaten both the cozy yards she calls home and one of the most important express trains on the line. With the help of her friends, Thomas, Ariel, Calley and Ivor, she'll build up the steam of courage to save the day with her famous "I think I can" attitude!
It's one grand adventure that proves that Little Engines Can Be BIG Heroes!

DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
Wow. Three whole years, and it's finally done.

After tons of advertising, delays, and a spectacular success of a stream, Crotoonia's first full-length episode/special is finally out! It's been a wild and fantastic ride, and its hard to think so many years have gone by already since the script for this was finished...in three days time, the first "completed" version of the script will be three years old!

What started out as a simple double-length pilot episode soon became a 25-minute tentpole feature with races, chases, runaways, crashes, smashes, bashes, and more! A simple high schooler looking to start his own series ended up with an exciting feature special featuring one wallop of a guest star and cast! It really shows that you can truly achieve anything with hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

I'd like to thank everybody, from the cast and crew and family and friends, who have stuck with me for this crazy fun ride of a special. To Michelle, Blake, Caitlin, Matt, Lachie, Chris, Kristian, Leo, Dean, Phillippa, Colson, Carsen, Cinnamon, Joel, Alice, Luca, Swindon, Retro, Stephanie, Isaiah, Cory, Mike, RG, Anna, Ian, Caitlin, Katrina, Babylonia, and the rest of my friends, I thank you all for sticking around to see this crazy idea come to fruition. :)

This was an enjoyable video to watch, in a way it was Nostalgic for me as I used to love watching 'The Little Engine That Could' starring Tillie, Kath Soucie does a tremendous job for a half hour feature. The story also reflects what I would watch when Thomas & Friends was on T.V. during it's early seasons and even some characters, like Casey from 'Dumbo', had memorable moments. I may not know most of the other characters but this was still enjoyable to watch. I hope there is plenty more to come and whatever comes will be as entertaining as this one. Break a leg.

I have to say, most crossover videos on this site tend to get a bad rep, sometimes for a good reason. This one on the other hand, is an exception. It's had more love, more thought and most importantly more effort put into its creation than nearly ANY other crossover series on YouTube. It's not perfect, but it's close. Unbelievably close. Please continue doing this. You've basically done everything right here. :)

I noticed how Tillie sounds older in The Railways Of Crootonia than she did in the 1991 animated "The Little Engine That Could" film that she first appeared in, and I actually kinda like that little detail, whether intentional or not! In that 1991 animated film, Tillie sounded like an older pre-teen (10-12 years old), whereas here she sounds like a younger/middle teen (13-16 years old). Must have been at least a few years since she pulled that birthday train over that mountain in the area that she came from!
By the way, I love this little animated series that you're starting. I've seen the first three episodes, and I'm looking forward to the next! At first, I wasn't sure whether I would like this series because of the animation style (I haven't seen MMD animation in a video in a very long time), but after seeing these three episodes (and also the "meet the Crootonians" videos), I have to say, this is really well animated (though there are a few errors and the backgrounds could use a little more detail). Overall, I personally could give this fledgling series a 9.5/10. So far, it seriously feels like I could have grown up with this series if I had seen it since I was a little kid, and if something like that is something I feel about a FAN-SERIES, then that just says about how well-done and well-imagined this series is so far!
