print 99/100 still result 0.99
why we have to use float() ?

Hello Sir, thanks for curating PY4E course.I need a help of yours in the type conversations part ; in my code print float(99)/100 is not giving 0.99 as output but in yours it's giving that as output.I wish to know where i am wrong, i am writing down the same code as yours.It shows invalid syntax and when i use brackets like this
print (float(99)/100), it gives 0.99 as output.
