Sir how you take direction of current?
In case1:it is moving downwards in the resistor.
However
In case 2:it is moving upward in the resistor.

( IL + 1 )*R = vo =>
(1-vo)/j + 1 = vo =>
vo ( 1 - j ) = 1 - j =>
vo = 1


So much easier to solve w/o superposition...
