We never spoil our dog, she sleeps on our bed, gets a sausage at bunnings and has dog roll and poached egg for breakfast with us and chicken risotto for dinner, all normal stuff, no spoiling going on here. Be compassionate, empathetic, kind and loving. Provide them shelter, water, food, medical care and use positive training. Don’t leave a dog in a car. If you can’t do these basic things, you don’t deserve a dog and you shouldn’t have a dog. You should educate yourself on your dogs breed and genetics. Having a dog is a long term commitment, possibly 15-20 yrs. Medical care will cost you thousands of dollars. If you don’t have money, or don’t think your dog. Is a priority, don’t get a dog. We have animal cruelty laws, if you abuse a dog, you should go to jail.

I have had dogs since I was 12yrs old, but I cry when I think back to all the mistakes I’ve made over the years…. I’m in my 70’s now and appreciate much more the emotional support a dog can give us humans. But as long as we treat dogs with respect and give them the love and attention they also need, then my dog, our dogs, will continue to be there for us when we need their support.

I love my dog. He is a person. At least he thinks so. He hangs out with the people instead when there are other dogs around playing with each other . This video is absolutely right.
