When the Washington Commanders selected Emmanuel Forbes Jr. 16th overall out of Mississippi State, there was only really one person I wanted reaction from and that is fellow MSU Bulldog Smoot who is always a joy to talk to!

Lots of fans were upset we didn't pick Gonzo but they failed to understand our pressing #1 need was to sign players who are turnover creating disruptors. We lacked in that department last year and while Gonzo is a nice, big, solid CB, Forbes plays like only he should be catching the football and creating turnovers. He is The One.

Water covers 2/3 of the earth, Fred Smoot covers the rest, LOL I always loved that line.

I am surprised no one has brought up Darrel Green. Barely 5 foot 10 inches (not as tall as Forbes) and about 175 lbs with 4.2 speed, and he was the greatest CB in Washington football history, and certainly one of the best in NFL history. Was he too small?

Smoot is not a former commander DB. He has never played for the commanders. Say Washington, but don't straight up lie.
