Back then, there was always a new song which seemed inspirational and totally new, and with a beaten lyrics that had never been heard before… Followed a few days later by another than another then another… They all filled the air like the first day of spring.

In 1966 I listened to these songs on Armed Forces Radio. I was stationed in Nha Trang Vietnam and I had a transistor radio.
Thank God I wasn't in a fighting unit.

I'm 75 now, and could probably still remember the lyrics of most of those listed - although I'm convinced that these were listed for an American audience. As a Brit, I'm disappointed not to see any Small Faces, The Who, Spencer Davis Band, The Hollies (probably one of their best years), Ike & Tina Turner, The Kinks, and many many more.
