Imho really depends on what you’re studying (source : I’m a university student in Germany). For most degrees it’s not really important where you’re studying but what grades you have.

I just got accepted at LMU (education: psychology & English) and Humboldt Uni (education: English and Philosophy) and I don’t know which one to choose :/ I live in Potsdam so I could see my family very often if I choose Humboldt Uni, but at LMU I can study psychology right away and don’t have to study psychology afterwards (extra-occupational) … sigh
