Aquafficient. Efficient Electric Water Heating For The Home.

Показать описание
Aquafficient is the innovative, modern and highly efficient solution to heating water. Using a single heating element and patented thermal storage technology, the Aquafficient provides instant hot water, without storing water.

Using a uniquely developed material, Aquafficient’s heat pack can store four times more energy than hot water tanks in a unit the size of a combi boiler. Fischer’s Thermal Energy Store heats water to a selectable temperature, between 35-55 degrees Celsius, and provides the equivalent of 90-138 litres of hot water; plenty to fill a bath or run several hot showers daily.

When the battery has been fully charged it will pass the heat energy that has been stored inside the battery to the cold water coming into the unit.

The cold water comes into a highly efficient heat exchanger that has been embedded into the PCM. This transfer of heat only happens when hot water is called for.

When hot water is called for, cold water enters the unit from the mains and begins to drain the battery. The hot water leaves the unit at approximately 55°C.

When the battery has been depleted by 25%, the battery will begin to recharge.

The more hot water that is used; the quicker the battery is drained. We expect the unit to have approximately 40,000 heating cycles, this is the equivalent to 50 years.

Fischer will take care of delivery and installation of your new aquafficent model. With no requirement for valves or even a water discharge pipe, the installation of the Aquafficient is mess and stress-free. No need for annual servicing and every unit comes with a 10 year warranty as standard.

The Aquafficient can store four times more heat than a domestic water cylinder and provides 150 litres of hot water.
Even better, the aquafficient is half the height of an average water cylinder.

Compatible with Economy 7, Solar PV and other types of renewable electricity sources, the aquafficient is the way forward when it comes to lowering your carbon footprint.

Remember, in Britain electricity costs around FIVE times as much as gas per kWh so your gas boiler would have to be appallingly inefficient for an electrical solution to be worthwhile.

The key is to insulate fully exceeding local authority requirements keep your gas boiler and u be fine.four nches on roof rafters fourinches in loft space exterior walls and insulation between each floor level with triple glazing

This should be... why so many people are regretting changing to an electric boiler!

I work in water hygiene, if they are not kept at the right temperature, they can have a high chance of Legionella build up .a lot of people turn them of to save money. I would think very hard if you are to go down that road because you can't really turn it off when ever you feel like it.

These are amazing - I have one and so does my mum

Irony is, on a cold winter's night, the electricity is most likely to be generated from a gas power plant!

I'll be sticking with my gas boiler.

People assume Hot water costs a lot to heat but it's less than 1kWh for a shower. On Octopus Flux at 2am it's only twice the price of gas (allowing for inefficiencies in the gas boiler) Our boiler's pilot light was costing more to run than the immersion heater for two of us showering once a day. Since we don't need heating in the summer, we turned off the gas and switched to electric to save money! Should we get a new boiler that doesn't have a pilot light? No, because the payback period would be forever by the time it's installed and of course the new complicated condensing combi needs yearly expensive servicing. The solution is not heating hot water and pumping it around your old rads to heat the air, spend the money on insulation and mini split aircon for heating 👍

Until you see the electric bill, these things cost a fucking fortune to run compared to a gas boiler, it's only a half acceptable solution if you don't have mains gas and don't want an oil tank

So how is that any more efficient than the immersion heater on the existing tank? If anything it’s less and you can heat the stored water when sun is shining. But instant hot water is no good at night time.

What happens when the power goes off? And possibly this could be for days it’s a no Brainer. Someone mentioned heat pumps what happens when there’s no electricity? You are screwed.

Only in lunatic Britain. Compare the costs per GJ for Gas, Oil and Electrically fired boilers. There is your answer.

Electric blankets are more efficient than gas ones😄

Electric boilers are only suitable for Tony flats. ASHP for anything up to 15kW and no real cost effective solutions currently above that.

Remember those absolutely stupid electric storage radiators, bricks with curly wires between totally uncontrollable, half price electric at night but still far more expensive

I am lucky, we live in south and with a B grade energy level apartment. We only need to turn on electric heater less than 10 days during Winter last year. Therefore a good location, eg. facing south, high energy level house is really important.

Don’t disagree that these are efficient. But it’s mad how despite being more sustainable, it’ll cost maybe four times as much to run as a gas boiler. It’s criminal.

And no mention of central heating just hot water
