Thanks for that i was wandering how yours were getting on . My two queen colony have eaten the brood and the single queen has not laid for ages so i have made an incubator type set up then just leaving alone for a few weeks .I prefer the look of the normal ones but the black ones have a rarity kudos didn't even know they existed till you got them . It Will be interesting to see if there are many differences over time . My single queen is the northern variety and much lighter coloured than the poly queen's .
