In this video, you will learn, the application of the Modal Verbs, Can and Could, the similarity and differences

The modal verbs 'can/could' are mainly used in four ways:
ability :
We use 'can' and 'could' to talk about a skill or ability.
request and offer
We use 'can' and 'could' to request someone or offer anything.
possibility :
They can be used when a certain thing or event is possible or impossible.
permission :
We use verbs such as 'can' and 'could' to ask for and give permission.

Exercise :
1. In India, the temperature can/could be as high as 50degree Celsius.
2. Can/Could you wait for a moment, please?
3. When I was young, I can/could play cricket.
