With R6 you can adjust the final gain, you may want output for 3.3v uC then you must lower the R6 value and vice versa.

With the potentiometer, you can adjust the offset of the output so it's about zero volts and between the logic level, use a multi-turn pot or stick your tongue out when you use a cheap single-turn pot. 😋

C1 and C2 are optional, they act as low-pass filters in combination with R1 and R2.

But watch out for negative voltage when it's connected to a microcontroller, we don't want to put a negative voltage on an IO pin of a microcontroller. Can put some protection diodes on the output to protect the uC.
