KD and Dame gave Jrue his flowers too. Crazy that Jrue being 6'4 gives PG who is 6'9, problems

Man hearing PG describe that defensive drill brought back memories because I use to get killed in that drill when the offensive player had that one move to throw me off but also help me learn from my mistakes. Plus the one person that motivated me to take defense more serious to stay on the court was my mom saying and I quote “There’s enough scoring on the court rebound and play defense!!!”

Kobe: Always said Tony Allen was his toughest defender. Dude was 6'4".
KD: Said Tony Allen was his toughest defender.
PG: Says Jrue is his toughest defender, another 6'4" guy.

Gary Payton is also 6'4". Sydney Moncrief, 6'4". These are the types of players who've given the 6'6"-6'9" players the most problems throughout basketball history.

I seen Jrue turn Lavine into a passive player when Milwaukee played Chicago a few years ago. Dude wasn't even looking to shoot it, he'd catch it and then pass it right away.

"he loves playing defense" being the toughest trait of a player is absolutely spot on. you have to love it to be good

I like PG revealing his secrets... and definitely happy to have Jrue on the Celtics.

Jrue game changed a lot from when he first came in. They tried to make him become a John Wall in Philly but all that changed once he became a defensive anchor in NO

“Just cause i love kob” . A line that went everyone’s head. But really meant a lot for pg

The only time I’ve seen PG so helpless beyond 22feet is that two way highlight where Ant sat down, poked it away like it was nothing, and scored a contested layup. Guy wasn’t biting on a single thing no one was getting around him on that sequence haha

When you really think about it, PG is a HOF when it’s all said and done. Best handles for a 3 all time with 9 all star appearances and 6 all nba teams. Deep playoff run solidifies it for sure.

The ending lesson on defense needs to be shown to all them young teams in the league

"He loves to play defense". That's really the heart of it, many players could be as big a nuisance as Jrue but lack the effort and desire.
