Paddling Algonquin in Search of Brook Trout

Join me on this solo paddling adventure as I explore Algonquin Park while fishing for Brook Trout. I spend 4 days camping in the backcountry, paddling and portaging into new lakes and fishing for trout. It's always a rewarding adventure to discover pristine Algonquin lakes with huge brook trout. With lots of wildlife encounters too!

This is an old canoe trip from last spring and I hope you enjoy it.

Beautiful brookie. That's a good size for Algonquin.

What a lot of beautiful fish! It's always great to see someone catching brookies without worms, it gives me more hope for my chances lol. Better for the fish too. Isn't it weird having a protected season on invasive bass? Can't be good for the trout population.

Great video I watched it twice. Glad the fish are bitting on your trip. Will be looking for your next video.

Nice trip. Typical fishing grass is always greener, you portage 3 difficult lakes and catch 2 beauty monster specs, looked liked 2 and 4lbs, right off your camp, lol. Imagine how the fishing must be in the centre of the park, cheers🎉

Wow, amazing Brookies. It’s worth the effort to get into those more remote lakes for sure. Nice to see you back on the small screen 😊

Watching you paddle that Langford with a conventional paddle is fantastic. I own an ultralight Nahanni . You got some nice specks and cudos on releasing them. And keeping the area secret .

Just returned from a brookie trip in Algonquin. Those fish you caught put my success to shame. Guess I gotta head back, put some more time in and find those tankers.

Sir, AWESOME FOOTAGE, are there any specific books you would recommend a guy invest in to plan trips based on brookies? What is the price ya spend on a trip for sites? Is the booking hard to come by?

Dude, that brook trout at 14:22 was bleeding like a siv, due to those dreaded treble hook lures. Too bad people don't utilize split rings and swap out for a single hook. That beautiful brookie most likely died.
