The ENA 4 from JURA offers an affordable yet impressive super-automatic espresso experience. With the Intelligent Pulse Extraction Process, the machine optimizes extraction times for barista-level espresso shots and grinds exceptionally fast in order to extract as much flavor as possible from your espresso.

The ENA 4 from JURA is a minimally designed, intuitive one-cup machine that grinds exceptionally fast in order to extract as much flavor as possible from your espresso. JURA’s Intelligent P.E.P., or Pulse Extraction Process, changes how coffee is brewed based on the drink selected, by pulsing water at different frequencies for espresso and espresso doppio. Not to mention, the ENA 4’s unique water tank adds a touch of tasteful asymmetry to this ultra-modern, chic machine.

I’ve had two Jura coffee machine over the years very convenient for making coffee the water filters have to be purchased from jura, you cannot buy cheaper generic versions now that work.and the jura are much more expensive .Also I found the coffee eventually had a slightly muddy taste, i followed all the cleaning cycles as per the manual.I think the coffee grinders in the machine lose their edge..The machines are very convenient, but now I own separate components grinder, lever espresso machine etc and make really good coffee every time and have not looked back, if you just want coffee bean to cup is ok but long term it’s better to get a proper individual outfit especially a good grinder which is crucial .

Is this the same quality espresso shot as you would find in any other jura machine?

How long does it take to warm it up? Does it self clean?

Does the lower gram settings of 6-10gm make a difference as my current Jura 5 makes 5-16gm. Will I be disappointed with the coffee strength?

Hi there. I just purchased the ENA 4 and am having trouble with pre-ground coffee. I tried making a black coffee a few times and it seems pretty watered down. Any suggestions?

Does this make “regular” American coffee or just large espresso flavored coffee. If I want a Dunkin’ Donuts or McDonalds coffee- will this get me close if I buy those beans?

So just by preparing 2 cups, instead one 1, I will essentially get the equivalent of about 16-20gms. But there will be a dilutional effect due to the water, right?

looks nice, but if i wanted/needed a standalone milk frother to pair with this, what would be a good choice?

The Claris and Clearyl filters are an ingenious combination of a charcoal water filter and a single use water softener. If you cut one open you will find about 50% water softener resin beads and 50% activated charcoal granules. The resin beads remove the calcium and the charcoal does the chemical and contaminant filtering. They do a fabulous job of preventing calcification scale, as well as cleaning up the water. I stick with Jura machines 100% because of this and have several, you can't go wrong. Occasionally you need to tear them down and overhaul the brew group, install a new membrane pressure regulator, and change out the grinder burrs. There's plenty of videos here on youtube. It's an easy afternoons work, just brew up an espresso or coffee to get you started!

Any advice on how to fix water leaking. I used for first time and it leaked… maybe a part is loose or I did something wrong???

Espresso pull time is 15s, which is waaay too fast. I imagine that espresso is severely underextracted.
