I was there and the reason the crowd was so electric is because it was the only mens match going on and it was on a small court (butch bucholz). Sinner saved a match point at 5-7 4-5 30-40 so he already had the crowd on his side, especially when he went down early third and needed a break back. When he broke back from 5-3 (3rd set) to make it 5-4 is when the crowd really became electric. In deuce at 5-4 third set...a fully packed crowd (half the people drunk), Italy vs Spain, Miami sunset, and 4 more match points saved. god it was amazing

Sinner is not playing his best tennis rn but it's out of this world how mentally strong he is at just 20 years old. I have a feeling the winner between him and kyrgios in the next round is going to make at least to the final or win the whole tournament
