My favourite economics book so far is "A little History of Economics" by Niall Kishtainy. Takes the reader from the beginnings of economics in the age of the Greeks to the modern economy, exploring all types of themes and economists. I would recommend it strongly to anyone who wants to understand economics, already likes economics, and someone who wants to be able to link economic theories together smoothly.

My university has a whole department dedicated to just Economic History separately from our Econ department, personally I’m more of a maths buff so have never taken any of their courses but they look very interesting

I’ve always wanted to study economy but due to unfortunate life events I couldn’t even finish high school till my 20’s.
I’m in my 30’s now and fell in love with the way economics and politics explain how pretty much the world ended up shaping itself.
Have I made it into university? No. I’m stuck in Japan working more hours than anyone should.
But it’s a goal I’m gonna reach someday.
