Drone video of Side in 4K (Uçan göz). Side (Σίδη in Greek) is a popular coastal tourist resort in the south of Turkey. It is located halfway between Antalya and Alanya. The ancient city of Side was founded by Greeks from the west coast of Anatolia (from Aeolis) in the 7th century BC. They named their city side after the iron that was found in the hinterland i.e. side(ro)=iron in Greek. The ancient city still has many archeological remains like the city walls, the temple of Apollo and the Greek Theater.
