One more reason I ought to have mentioned: color timing on some blu-rays is vastly different from that of DVDs. In some cases, DVD editions offer a more faithful rendition of colours, despite lower image resolution.

I do the same as you! Nothing compares to have it in your hand and play it whenever you want!

I recall the first DVD experience seeing Night Of The Living Dead played on a friends computer screen. I was used to a grainy colorized version. And seeing it remastered in glorious black and white was a sheer joy.

Yep agree with all these points pal! I’m happy with my fave dvd labels I’ve collected over the years and will always keep them. I still buy dvds more often than Blu rays. 👍🏻

I was going through darkweb few weeks ago just Routine curiosity exploration and I stumbled upon this strange forum that had all these torrents uploaded by the forum members and they claimed these are the movies that are not available anywhere on the internet at all their were few requests pending for some specific movies and they were uploading this data from their physical media most probably Dvds, I downloaded 2 movies, these seemed very old and extremely Nostalgic type movies, by very old I mean at least 40 to 50 year's old black and white legend of Oz like...

I recently got a 21 dvd boxset of all the Laurel & Hardy short and feature films, for £20. A great bargain as I've no real interest in getting the HD versions. For nostalgic reasons these versions with the occasional specks, scratches and dots intact are how I want to experience them.
