Gironda's training and nutrition was futuristic, way ahead of it's time. Still is-most BBs aren't aware and haven't tried his many techniques, most of which are more effective than commonly used exercises.

Thanks for paying tribute to Vince. Vince also said there should be no music in the gym, now you know why!

I tried it and must admit found it much more effective than other back excercises I normally do.

After months of working lats with hardly any visual gains I tried this three weeks ago and have seen more gain in a short period. I now have some lower and wider lower lats. Thanks for this awesome tip, I use it every time I do back exercises. Keep up the awesome work.

Wow I did this today in my back workout after bent over rows and I had the best stretch and pump in my Lats, thanks!

Hi Lee, tried this one yesterday and I think it's fantastic. You can just feel the deep contraction from rep #1. Brillant. Thanks a lot!!

i got a subluxated rib which is when one rib pops out of its socket. it creates a sharp pain near the shoulder blade. when i looked it up, there was one chiropractor who said that a common cause is people looking down during pulldowns and overhead presses. i used to have this habit because putting my chin to my chest made it feel like i was getting more ROM into shoulder flexion. but it doesn't extend your ROM it just puts the spine in a less safe position. so thats why i think its important to keep your head in alignment with your spine on lifting movements, not looking up or down.

I tried this tonight it's really good. It's one of those exercises where you actually are really working your back not arms. Thanks!

Vince Gironda is a genius.
A cool addition to narrow grip pull-ups.

One trick i used to do when i started out training my lats, was using a variety of grips. Change the way you grip the pulldown/pull up bar each set. You'll notice how differently it feels during the sets. Start with a wider grip, palms forward, and work your way closer and closer, with palms facing you as you enter shoulder width. It helped me feel where in my lats i was pulling from. Also always make sure your shoulders are pulled back before you start every rep.

cool technique I have never seen it before. How should your elbows be? Really close and tight?

Dude if you didn't have the facial hair and a altered the hair a bit you would almost be a ringer for General Zod in the new Superman! Cool stuff man!

Gonna try this next time I do back . Just did back last night . I had to stop and check the cables on the seated row because I couldn't understand how the hell I was able to finally lift pretty much the whole stack of weight . It's pretty cool when you find the right supplements . But it's clearly also due to my hard work .

Ahh very true, I hadn't even thought about the amount of pulleys different cable machines feature. I just assumed it was a standard thing, more pulleys, they do the math and make the weights heavier type of deal. Thanks Lee!

That was a finisher!! His main was chin ups with the chest touching the bar..8 sets of 8 with a 30 second rest
