MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1/2 inch flat bristle (large), #1 round synthetic (small)
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, cobalt blue, chrome orange, burnt umber (brown)
Other: white chalk, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes


STEPS:
1. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint sky with black, blue and white
2. chalk - Draw outline of staircase
3. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint staircase with dark blue (made in step 1) and white
4. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat for clouds with black, dark blue, brown and white
5. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint heavenly light with tan (mad in step 4) and white
6. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint highlights on clouds and steps with tan, dark blue, brown and white
7. #1 round brush - Paint doves with white, brown, orange and black
8. #1 round brush - Sign with dark blue and tan

I lost my 22yr old nephew a couple years ago in a drowning tragedy (I have 3 son's of my own all about the same age and we're a very close family) and I'm doing this one for Him today in remembrance to give to my sister. We are people of faith and know where he is now but that doesn't make it any less difficult.
