I sure can feel it... Ba-aah... Is love real? Even back in the 70's, when Shocking Blue did this song, I always thought it was a cynical view of love and marriage, so called "true love" connections. Lyrics lije: Please don't deceive me, when I hurt you, it's not way it seems'. And then comes the very 'korny', fake sounding 'Can you hear my love buzz?' With that Middle Eastern sounding 'belly dance' music bass. Shocking Blue was not the sort of mainstream pop 'nice girls' listened yo, but I liked Mariska with her darling soultry looks, singing such weird 70's punky, early metal whatever you'd call her style. She had a good voice, great band and good style, too, but did not get recognition she deserved, though others eg Bananaram covered her songs eg I'm Your Venus and Kurt's grungey version of Love Buzz. I wish he'd had done the other verses of Love Buzz:I need you like the dert needs rain. I would much rather die... When I don't have you... So spread your wings and fly etc'. Such 'korny', cliched love, dovey words. Often heard from false lovers' lips, as t hey try yo seduce you, in sleazy clubs etc.
