His Excellency Jose C. Laurel V, Philippine Ambassador to Japan, shares the recent developments on the Philippines-Japan ties and the significance of the Participation of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia in Tokyo, Japan on May 31, 2019.

The Chief Executive is set to deliver a keynote address for the Nikkei-led forum that annually convenes government leaders, business executives, and academics from the Asia-Pacific region to discuss their assessments on the regional issues and the role of Asia to the world.

According to Ambassador Laurel, the Philippines and Japan share an amiable and mutually beneficial partnership in different areas of cooperation such as security and defense, economic aspect, and tourism, among others.

Ambassador Laurel is the grandson of the Philippines’ former President Jose P. Laurel (1943-1945) and son of former Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose Laurel III (1966-1971). He was appointed as the Philippine Ambassador to Japan on September 2016.

The Filipino envoy used to serve as the Chairperson of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Foundation’s Board of Trustees prior to his appointment. He is an awardee of The Outstanding Young Person of the World Award (for Public Administration) by Jaycees International in 1984, and The Outstanding Young Man of the Philippines Award (for Public Administration) by the Philippines Jaycees in 1983.

Hindi ba may mga staff ang RTVM? Bakit wala mang lang background information dito? Mga tamad ba o bobo ang mga tao diyan sa RTVM? Nakakalito kasi maraming Jose Laurel, si ambassador pang-lima na. Sino tatay niya, lolo, uncle, etcetera?

Mr President kelan nyo po isye-shame in public tong ahas na to?? Marami tayong ambassadors worldwide na dilawan, sila yung mga naluklok bago pa umupo si President, di naman kasi pwedeng basta na lang palitan mga to eh. Gaya nung nasa New Zealand, naalala nyo pa nung nag punta dun yung PTV tas gumawa ng docu si Erwin Tulfo pa nun, pinakita nya kung gano kaganda sitwasyon ng kababayan natin dun at kung gano kaganda relayon ng bansa natin sa bansa nila, tas nang hikayat pa yung PTV na pumunta fon kung gusto maging OFW kasi daming magandang benefits. Tas pag balik nila Tulfo dito sa Pinas biglang nag labas ng statement yung dilawang ambassador natin dun na wag na wag daw pumunta sa New Zealand dahil delikado daw dun at aabusuhin lang lahat ng Pinoy ng mga Kiwi 😕. Lo napanood kita sa balita, pag dating ni Pres. Digong parang nakakita ka ng multo, takot na takot ka. nagmamadali kang umalis, hindi mo na nasagot ang tanong...sana tinanong mo si Pres. Digong kung pabuya ba yung pag punta nila sa Japan..mabuti pay mag retiro ka na, nakakasira ka ng diskarte ng ating bansa.
