In the first webinar of our 'Spotlight on: Research Impact' series, Health Translation SA is proud to welcome research impact leader Dr Tamika Heiden from Research Impact Academy alongside our very own Dr Ecushla Linedale.
Beginning with an introduction to the Spotlight webinar series, Ecushla will share the Health Translation perspective on the importance of Research Impact and how South Australia can advance the impact of research across our state.
We will then hear from Tamika Heiden as she provides an overview of the types of research impact, why impact matters, and how research impact can be maximised to improve health systems and ultimately benefit patient care.
SPEAKER BIOS
Dr Ecushla Linedale
Ecushla is Deputy CEO of Health Translation SA and is additionally responsible for our Digital Health and Learning Health System portfolios. Ecushla has a PhD in Medicine around Health Care Service Design and Delivery, and a breadth of experience in research translation, project management and strategic development. She has undertaken further studies in science communication, entrepreneurship, and knowledge translation, and is a titleholder at the University of Adelaide. Ecushla’s interest lies in engaging and connecting clinicians, researchers, consumers and industry to generate research impact to solve real world problems.
Dr Tamika Heiden
Dr Tamika Heiden is Principal and Founder of Research Impact Academy (formerly Knowledge Translation Australia) and has a background in health research and research coordination. Tamika is passionate about making impact easier for researchers and research organisations.
Tamika’s goal, and purpose as the Principal of the Research Impact Academy, is to ensure that research is relevant and accessible to the people who need it. Tamika has well developed networks, both nationally and internationally, and has trained widely in the field of research impact.
