Goodbye, InSight.
Показать описание
In this video, we're saying goodbye to InSight, the Mars Insight lander. We'll miss all the science it's been able to make, and the chance to share it with the world.

The Mars InSight lander landed on Mars on November 28, 2018 and went silent on December 15, 2022. This video is just a slideshow of some major events in InSight's life on Mars. This is not a comprehensive history. Just a quick review of the days when it was dust free, placing instruments on the surface, to troubleshooting the "mole" and its later days when dust covered the spacecraft.
Why don't we clean the solar panels?
Astronomy gear that I use:
Bahtinov Mask Focusing Mask for Telescopes - a must have for astrophotography.
Vestil CPRO-600 Ergonomic Worker Chair - probably the best piece of gear I have. This chair is adjustable and will allow you to view in comfort at any angle. Great for those with Dobsonian telescopes and fixed eyepieces!
Book that I'm reading now:
Setting Aside All Authority: Giovanni Battista Riccioli and the Science against Copernicus in the Age of Galileo
Last book I read:
Missions to Mars: A New Era of Rover and Spacecraft Discovery on the Red Planet
NASA Engineer by day and amateur astronomer by night.
Unless there's an upgrade or an issue. Then I'm still a NASA network engineer.
