My first taste of Jamaican food was in Tampa FL at a Mom and Pop restaurant called Irie Bay near the place where I went to Collage. I was in heaven when I had my first taste of Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas, and Plantains with a Ting Grapefruit Soda. As well I also miss the Jamaican Spicy Beef Patties with Coco Bread!!!! Even though I'm not Jamaican as I'm Filipino and Scottish my Jamaican friends tell me I must have been Jamaican in my past life the way I love the food and never get tired of it!!! LOL!!!

Elvis Presley LOVED Jamaican food so much that he had a Jamaican cook for over 30 years and according to him she had magic hands in the kitchen. He’d get up in the middle of the night to indulge in his favourites. I’m a big fan of Elvis since childhood and I’m so proud he loved Jamaican food.
