I definitely like my case. Received mine late, but it’s excellent in my opinion, can’t see myself using another case now. Magnets super strong also.

So the Elite is silicone rubbery type of case just like the classic version? Or hard plastic? Also the screen protector that comes with the Elite case is edge to edge protection? And does it have black boarders?

Hope I’m happy with it and it seems the sides are reinforced to keep it secured. The new side camera button is cool, but some cases have a thin strip above it and it’s a weak point. My phone almost popped out with the case I have now. Luckily it was plugged in. I’m not taking any more chances and spent the extra money.

How does grippiness of MagBak Elite case compare to the Nomad Rugged when laying on the long edge of the case?

I have a few use cases where I can it use a kick stand. These situations rely on case creating some friction with the base surface to keep the phone from sliding. Cases with hard edges or that have buttons protruding from the side often cannot be propped up easily.

I like the MagBak case but the design of the Nomad case looks like it may work better for my propping needs.

Man, lissen. I’ve used the magbak for years and I swear by their cases “USUALLY”. Here’s MY beef: the 14 MAX (or PRO or whatever. The top big one) and the 16 pro Max classic series which I just got. They should not ever have made those two the way they did.

I have the 16 pro max and I’m not using it. Why? I don’t have a decent case. It and the big top of the line 14 iPhone magbak classic cases both have the same problem, and I should’ve known something was up this go round. For the 14 series there was no “elite”. Until this go round, there was just one Magbak case. I opted not to get the elite because I hate any case ring on a phone. I don’t use it, and it looks janky. I don’t need that lil pinky pillow port cover or any port cover, the iPhones are extremely good even in water. I even have a magbak magnet in my shower at eye level, in case (get it) I want to keep watching the game or something. Water does NOTHING to these phones anymore like back in the pre iPhone 8 days. The extending magnets on the 16 pro elite cases is a cool innovation, but I mean, it seems gimmicky and redundant if it’s anything like the case I have now. It doesn’t need any help sticking to the fridge when I’m making breakfast, or the lil under-my-microwave panel when I’m at the stove, or using a MagSafe Lisen holder. It just works. And it’s extremely powerful almost to a fault.

On my 11, 12, 13, and 15. Or whichever ones I’ve had. Dunno if I skipped one.

So to make a long story AuDHDier, I just got what usually worked for me, now called the classic.

KNEW it was finna be a problem. Should’ve never done that. In the back of my mind, I wondered “why did they need to add extending magnets on one of them?”

I got the case (really fast and on discount) and I put on the free screen protector (🤷🏽‍♂️okay. Is it 2014?) and put the case on. Snug fit and soft interior to prevent any scratches on the back of my phone while it stays in the case because I never take those off. Side by side, I looked: DAMMIT! The camera bump on the 15 Pro Max is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the 16 in the case. Bad sign. Went to the stainless steel fridge.

15 stayed put, 16 slid straight down. Only part of the magnet made contact.

Now, it’s not magbak’s fault. Clearly Apple made bigger cam bumps on the 14 & 16. That’s on Apple, not them.

But then why not just make the “elite” the damn Magbak Case if the classic is unusable for a case that’s from a company with literally only two words in its corporate dba name: “Mag” and “Bak”? The classic has bad iterations of “magnets” on the “bak”. The phone ITSELF already has magnets on the back, we want this to be STRONGER MAGnets on its BACK.

So to drop the classic to unsuspecting buyers and return customers feels “hella sus” and the millennials would say. Or to sound inappropriately old: the classic is “Skibidi Ohio” or whatever the Trisomy generation now says.

Then charge like 80 bucks for the elite which is legit the ONLY ONE that actually WORKS??!?

Now I gotta wait for THAT to show up, and magbak gonna text me like they have to “investigate” my return clai-“YOU KNOW THIS CASE HAD GY🤬TDAYUM MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY WHEN YA SOLD IT TO ME! CHU MEAN YOU GOT TO “investigate”??!?

Like your video with good info.. does this case easy to slot in and out of jeans ? Will the side silicon and finger loop caused it difficulty to put in and out of jean pocket ?

I had the classic for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and drove at least 200 yards till I realized I left it on my rear fender of my truck, so yeah I think the magnets are strong, just purchased one for my iPhone 16 pro max

The point about the screen protector lip is good to know. However, the retail version of the Elite ships with a screen protector so it shouldn’t be an issue for most people. Additionally, the stock screen protector helps justify the $79 price point.

I returned the classic magbak last for for my iPhone15 pro max for the Rokform solely because of magnet strength. Rokform is super strong and will stick to a golf cart without moving even on bumps. Wonder how this one compares

The box came with another magnet (magstick) in it. How/where do we apply this, or is it meant to be a replacement?

I purchased this case from the US and paid for shipping to Australia in December 2024. After just two months, the case has developed a crack on the back, with a small piece chipping off. I haven’t dropped my phone—the damage is mainly due to frequent use of the finger loop. The quality is disappointing compared to my previous MOUS case. I’ve filed a complaint and am waiting to claim the lifetime warranty mentioned on their website. However, I’m fairly certain they’ll require me to cover the shipping costs again and return the damaged case at my own expense.

Definitely not recommended.

Can you use other brands of screen protectors with this case? My ESR glass protector usually bubbles if I apply pressure on the edges of my UAG metropolis. So I’m eager to know if this one accepts other brands aside from MagBak since the orders comes all the way from the US.
