Maxpedition Mini vs Micro: My thoughts

I have the Micro. I tried a few other pocket organizers and wasn't happy. Until I tried the Micro.
I'm amazed how much stuff I can get in it and still have it in my front jeans pocket! The only 'big' items in it though are a BIC lighter and a Nextool Mini Sailor (scissor version). My knife and Baton4 flashlight are in my other front pocket, for quick and easy access. I use Credit card PVC pouches and similar sized Ziploc bags to hold small, thin items, and hair ties to keep items in the elasticated straps, like a tiny unused superglue tube, or as a longer hanger for my Syrinx Titanium pen, attached to the right side loop but placed in the clamshell hinge.
I also use FoodSaver bags to make custom-sized containers to flatten a pair of vinyl gloves or for waterproofing meds.
Just bought a Micro for my wife. She wanted an organizer for in her purse.

I have been looking at so many EDC pouches lately, it's got me turned around trying to keep all the features I want in one straight. Thanks for the look at these two, brother! That Mini might be one for me to add to my list.

I used the molle back in the day, but in recent years been keepin these inside vs outside bigger bags. I’d go micro too.

Both great pouches and a great comparison. I like your prybar in the mini. I'd probably lean toward the micro myself if I was using it for pocket carry.

Nice video! I like these pouches, solid stuff. Been using my Micro for 5 years now and it's still going strong! Also have a beefy for traveling. Would love to see the Mini being just half an inch thicker/deeper, right between the Micro and the Fatty to have some really usable step more in space but sadly it's as thin as the Micro. 🤷🏻‍♂

i use dental waxed floss for cordage. i get it for cheap and it works decently. especially the mint flavor! lol

Great review and comparison. I was really curious to see the two sizes next to one another. I totally agree with you about the micro, it’s a great size all around.

Now let’s hope the sticker police aren’t hunting you down right now, and you may have gotten away scott free 🤫 😂.

Great comparison. I did not realize there was that big of a difference between the micro and the mini. It's funny, I don't think anybody likes the keychain in the maxpeditions

thats true with the velcro. the vanquest packs are much better. have you tried the ppm slim 2.0 ?

Maxpedition makes some awesome gear. I owned the Micro for a little while, but it's was a touch too big for front pocket carry, so I ditched it. Good gear, nevertheless.
