Beautiful coin. I’ve thought about getting into gold mining stocks, but there’s some other things that I would rather put my money in first. Maybe, eventually. You’re right, though. The fund manager needs to be on point when it comes to gold mining stocks.

Nice 20 Franc. That “cartwheel” you speak of is called luster. It’s created when the planchet is struck from the center outward leaving tiny striations in the metal that when turned to light it reflects off the surface. Anyway, just some numismatic info. Thanks for the show!

I like the Swiss 20 Franc. I own a 10 Franc, which is half the size of the 20 Franc. I like how APMEX seals the coin in two layers of plastic. Your 1935 is a restrike. Your coin isn't actually minted in 1935. The Swiss Mint produced 1935 restrikes during the late 1940s. The 1935 restrikes served as bullion reserves for banks.
