I will try not to be a Smart Butt today. I found small boards at Amazon that take 12V and give you one or two USB chargers. I took 3 of the ones that give 2 USB charger ports put them together so with one wire, YES I did put the poles on the wire to plug into my power. So I plug in my power pole and have 6 USB charging ports for my tablit, phone, and the many other things we use that need 5V. Thank you for the work you put in to give us information! 73 W4DES

If I'm not mistaken, you can select the front BNC connector to do HF as wall as VHF/UHF so the reroute is superfluous. Menu item 07 on page 54. And on Page 11 it describes it for figure reference 15, front antenna connector.

Fantastic job. I was going to buy one for my radio but it cost more to ship than the cost of the rail. Was going to be very expensive.

Digirig makes short not-coiled cables. I did the same setup but with an 857 but I used their short cable, its like a foot long not coiled. The difference its day and night. Of course, they are not cheap, I think was $30 plus shipping
