I'm mostly bedridden with a medical condition and can sit up for only a few hours a day. But, I have vowed to make art every day because making art is healing, so I use limits. 4"x4" square journal. Three to four pieces of collage paper or paint marks. Twenty minute time limit. Very simple art, but it allows me to complete at least one project a day. Which is very rewarding and which causes the brain to release dopamine which makes us feel good!

This abstract oil painting is truly ingenious in the use of colors, with each stroke seemingly containing endless emotions and stories. The collision and fusion of colors not only showcase the artist's profound skills, but also make the viewer feel as if they are in a dreamlike world of colors.

Great demo. Thank you for reminding us how invoking a few, or many, limitations can accelerate our learning and creativity.

Great lesson to learn. I’ve been so excited about abstract art and I love the feeling with the paints or something about putting a brush and paint on paper or with your fingers either way, but I’m trying to learn everything and applying it to my practice and I’m getting nowhere. I just joined the tribe last month, oh by the way, my name is CJ Morris thank you

There are no “limits” to the creative mind. “Limitation’ is the birth of creativity.

What's the large brush you used for black? I love big brushes. 🙂

Louise or followers: is the free course mentioned in this video available at your website or YouTube? Thanks, Neil

Hi, given the mark limits, what is the point of making a mark or two and then coving them up with the big black brush? Are these wasted marks or is there something else going on I'm missing? Thanks
