I'm 80. I have BMI 23, I sleep well, and I feel healthy and happy all the time. "Didn't think you were that old.", You don't look it", "What's the secret?" are common responses when people find out. Good genes? No, nothing special there.
So, for any curious reader, here it is ...
At age 22, I ditched sugar. I followed with eating only real food - never "junk".
I love exercise, but hate "working out". Why bore myself with the repetitious-ness of it? Instead, I just use our great big, free, exercise machine - the whole world. Walk, run, climb, scorn the lift and use the stairs!
Try it yourself - you'll love it as much as I do. Just start easy and work up.

I’m 88 years old—no pharmaceuticals, no doctors, and feeling great! I sleep 12 hours a night, don’t drink alcohol, fast-walk for 30 minutes five times a week, lift a little weight, and stay socially active. So far, so good—and I’m deeply grateful for it all! 🙏✨

My dad finally agreed to go into an assisted living facility at 97. While we were waiting for a spot to open up, he went out to the mailbox one day and when he got to the back porched he fell off the stairs. His life was over. He was fully independent. His mind was sharp. Had a little hearing loss. Up until 95 he was in great shape. Went down a little the last couple of years...

I am 80 yrs old - I didn’t have any issues until I lifted a few landscape stones that were 36 lbs each - ended up in hospital - vertebral artery between C2 and C3 in my neck tried to dissect - was put on Eliquis and Sotolol - two weeks later I developed chest pain in my left bronchial tubes - saw my dr - she said she couldn’t hear anything so couldn’t prescribe anything - two days later I could barely breathe - taken to hospital - told I had Afib but the awful pain was still in my bronchial tubes - I was taken for an ultra sound - around my heart and lungs I was filling up with fluid - they drained 1000 ml fluid off me - still had Afib - had to shock my heart to put it back in rhythm - I am fine which shocked the cardiologist - he won’t take me off Eliquis and Sotolol - he says they are preventing me from having a stroke - I did notice that my legs from my knees down became very week - I have added some supplements and upped my protein intake to help get my strength back plus I follow some pretty strict eating habits and exercise to help - I have always been strong and healthy and I am fighting this

I'm so grateful for this video! Being in my later years, I've learned that health isn’t just about avoiding disease; it’s about making conscious choices every day. Many of us tend to brush off warning signs, but understanding the risks and making small changes can go a long way. I wish everyone strength and peace as we embrace life’s journey, and may we all stay healthy in body and mind.

I am now 82 and try to stay active, within my limits. As we age our stamina decreases, but we must still try to maintain our activity. So many older people become sedentary and allow themselves to deteriorate. True, we are not as strong and energetic as we were when young, but we can still make the effort to be active as our body ages. It should go without saying that we must also be careful of our diets.

76 year old .... my wake up call was almost 12 years ago. Really painful chest pains. I started walking what I could and now do an easy mile and a half daily. I lift some 10 lb weights, lost a hundred pounds over the years. Yeah, just do it, keep doing it until you enjoy it. Adds healthy enjoyable years to you life.

Excellent video. I have been cautious about my health at 78, but I realized that I need to be more careful; Thanks and God bless.

Keep it moving to keep it healthy. Also, fueling the body properly and getting enough sleep. I have followed this counsel and preached it to my personal training clients since my early 20's and I am now 61. Many people guess my age as being in my early 40's. Exercise, good nutrition and maintaining a healthy weight is not just about looking good for the sake of vanity. It is all driving towards living the best life possible for as long as you can. Cheers!

I am 88. I have insomnia, hight blood pressure, prostatic, and possible kidney disease. I tried hard to forgetting all of my diseases. I gave all I had to Jesus, I pray twice a day and sometimes more before to sleep. We pray, we can ask Jesus everything in our lives but sorry to tell you when the time is up no matter how hard we tried it’s meant anything. My one last wishes is to see my daughter receiving a certification of finishing her college degree.
