I’m so happy to finally be able to share the full song and this incredibly beautiful and moving video by Andrew Knives with you all, but before I do that, a little story time…
As most of you know now this song and video are very special to me. Many moons ago I contacted Andrew to see if he might want to lend me a hand in bringing this song to life visually. I had seen some things floating around online and was very impressed with his art. He thankfully obliged. We had a semi-short creative call and then he went to work. We talked about many of the items in the video, there’s a ton of symbolism but neither of us ever mentioned a white owl. Andrew said, the idea of the owl came to him later in the process. This is where the goosebumps come in. My late dear friend Shelley who passed away in the spring was the owl to many of us. That was her spirit animal. I even purchased her a large white decorative owl that’s still in her home to this day. I don’t know what you believe about the afterlife(I don’t know what I believe either really) but I do believe that when these things happen they’re no coincidence. If you knew her, you’d know that this is exactly the way she’d show up from the other side. In her buddy Dave’s music video as the white owl. Rock on Shelley🤘
