In this video we examine the underlying mechanisms behind brain inflammation. Some common causes include:

- Intestinal permeability (leaky gut)
- Biotoxin illness (mold, stealth infection)
- Environmental toxin exposure

In the next video, we look at some strategies to support this problem.

For a clean form of thiamine which penetrates the blood brain barrier, look to Objective Nutrients for Thiamax:

What’s staggering is how you’ve got zero chance of being diagnosed for any of this from a most conventional doctors

Having been chronically sick and had Lyme for over 50 years may I say that this man is one of the most knowledgeable I've heard, he really knows his stuff.

My son and I have had everything he describes here. This explains why the nerves in the gut of my son and I. No one could explain to me why the internal abdomen throbbed. I can actively see my stomach throb. The nerves and leaky gut explains this reaction. Our root cause was mold and other bio toxins but an important issue for us was extreme EMF exposure. We lived and slept next to 23 smart meters. I believe this caused the nervous and immune system to break down and unable to detox the bio toxins. We are 7 months out and much better but not 100%. More like 80% and my son is 14 and still struggles with leaky gut and brain symptoms. I feel like they experimented on us as no one knows what the effect of those EMF devices long term.

Yes
Oh my god yes.
I used to describe it like that to my doctors and they said "Oh that's just anxiety"
It wasn't until I was being taken by ambulance to the hospital with encephalitis I knew why it felt like my brain was on fire....

I had Lyme/Coinfections. It almost killed me. That was over 2 years ago and Ive never recovered...

Elliot please give us the next video as soon as possible. My brain is really inflamed, probably due to mold. I can't wait to see your advise.

Honestly I think enchephilitis and endotoxemia are pretty much responsible for the majority of people who present as having "psychiatric" conditions.

Gut and brain inflammation isn't the cause but a dysfunctional response to a casual factor such as endo/exotoxins and metabolic dysfunction either independently or mediated via toxin load/nutritional deficiencies both of which feed into each other.

It's good to be reductionist to an extent but there is so much interplay. Leaky cells you could say is a metabolic issue

Another Fantastic presentation. Well done. You have a gift for explaining complex biological processes in an easily digestible manner. As an ex hypnotherapist and nutritional counsellor I applaud your efforts. I used to cure depression and various mental health problems with a combination of hypnotherapy and nutritional supplementation ( high B vitamins, omega 3's and various other neutraceuticals depending on their issues) Along woth exercise. Also by basically getting clients on a ketogenic diet which is sooo helpful for the brain and for mitochondrial health. 25 years ago I was considered a bit of a quack....but I had a fantastic track record. Keepthe videos coming. I am a big Fan.

Thanks Elliott. I've recently realised my fibromyalgia may be linked to living in a water damaged property so this was very helpful, thank you. Recently started taking a high dose d3 k2, magnesium and sulbutiamine and its been a game changer. I appreciate every video. Kudos.

When I was a child doctors tortured me. They were greedy to understand what was wrong with me because they wanted to put their names on me. The research you're talking about is the torture that was done to me, and somehow I'm the last to learn any of this? We paid doctors so they could exploit me, and none of this came back to me? I have nerve damage in my right arm because of what they did!

I am utterly enraged.

Described me to a T~! Currently I'm on Low Dose Naltrexidone. Into 4th week and the Fatigue is better. I'm able to get up and get things done. So Refreshing. How is it that an Opiate blocker is giving me back stamina ? I never used opiates and I am Allergic to them. I do believe it is my gut, as a child I was always on Anti-biotics for But I have my great grandmothers diary. She too had this pain/fatigue, as do some sisters, cousins, nieces. The men seem to escape it. She didn't live when they had anti-biotics. I've been gluten, dairy, sugar free for I've had many Mold/toxins/viral exposures too. GREAT EXPLANATION~!

Elliot, would love to hear more about how Lyme confections such as mycoplasma and barreling can produce indistinguishable symptoms to that of CFS, arthitis and multiple sclerosis.

That's a great video.. please also share how to reduce the quinolinic acid and how to re activate the adaptive immune system in the brain.. waiting for your next video

I have a progressive neuro condition, have had several brain surgeries, AND can no longer have any NSAIDS! What are my options to reduce NI, since this affects my mobility, 2?!👀

This video is absolutely brilliant and offers a very clear visual and well described representation of my own theories of multiple chronic illnesses, which I believe to be one and the same illness regardless of the label (I know peeps love their labels but I think they aren’t helpful).

It’s so interesting this video appeared today, because I was just writing a somewhat similar hypothesis for the homepage of my blog (not yet published).

The only thing I disagree with is the necessity to identify a root cause. Speaking from personal experience, I think this can be irrelevant and the arduous (and distracting) journey to seek out a root cause can significantly detract from trying various treatment strategies. But that’s just my opinion 🥰 — really looking forward to the next video.

I've always thought it's from my ABI or tbi with bleeding in the brain and the pressures...although I've had gut issues too, so, I'm really listening here.

Elliot I think the role of lactate I extremely important here also and should be measured by medical professionals. Lactic acidosis due to thiamine deficiency and also increased b-lactate levels from intestinal issues. It’s good for patients to give medical professionals something to measure and I think lactate could be very useful to this end.
