Akuma/Gouki on X-Men COTA had two different codes to select him, either 1p side or 2p side, and he also had Messatsu Gou Shoryu. Has an awkward input tho, its double Dragon Punch. Not to be confused with Double fireball motion for Messatsu gou Hadou. That "parry" was strike counter special. Solid glass cannon character.

During my high school days, there were rumors that ANITA was the daughter of Akuma. Dunno who's the mother but yeah, I just found out this year that it's not true. I can't believe I've been fooled for so many years. Me and my friends.

That's why I love it when I found out about emulators back in early 2000s, WinKawaks was the first emulator experience and then I bought it to my friends at our computer lab in college and they went nuts about it. Back in the day it would cost you some money to really play around arcade centers specially in the hay day of fighting games. So when there aren't any students around the computer lab you will hear keyboard clicks as we play our favorite Capcom FG. It was after college I discovered about the game cheats to play as the boss characters on the emulator and it really got me for hours playing boss characters which is not possible on most FG back in the day. Gamefaqs back then would formulate fake button combinations to play the boss characters and most of them never really work because it wasn't possible without the cheats. Man I'm definitely buying all things Capcom collection as soon as I got my PS5 Pro, I do have PS4 pro but nah I still can wait. Congrats to all of us FG fans for winning all of this FGC collections.

It's insane how influential these games were to gaming.

These games started the trend of characters from way different IPs working together. The start of what pretty much is how we see guest characters today.
