The cost is very expensive and the drug only stops the progression for 5 months? For the rich that’s great but for the majority it’s not affordable. To those under the age of 67, I highly doubt private insurance will cover this drug. Alzheimers and dementia affects a lot of people under the age of being Medicare qualified. There are several Cholinesterase inhibitors ( pill form) that do exactly what this new drug seems to do that insurances will cover. I doubt this pharmaceutical manufacture will profit much with what is required to take this drug by IV. Three deaths already through clinic trial isn’t rare to me. 3 families lost their loved one in hopes of literally buying more time with them. This is such a cruel and unforgiving disease.

As a caretaker for the last 3yrs I dont want u to slow this down its either fix it or forget it. Slowing it down is Prolonging it !!! It is exhausting and life altering for the caretaker.
How about make care for this condition accessible to all not just super wealthy. And how about the govt that is so prolife realize at the end and with conditions like this it is inhuman to allow people to suffer just to fill the pockets of big pharma at this point im convinced big pharma rules the world and we are not allowed assisted suicide bc pockets wont be lined diseases like this increase profits 10x more. Its a sick world. I will off myself if i get this, no doubt. Nobodys putting me into diapers and spoon feeding me and liading me up w drugs to keep me alive, im gonna hop on an iceberg. Im dreading whats to come in this caretaking situation too many horror stories

My own opinion, what is the point? You are going to put your family in debt trying to buy this stuff. A bullet is cheaper. It would be my go to instead of putting my family and myself through this.
